Just saw the news piece in CNN-IBN. Pamela Mountbatten, daughter of Lord Mountbatten , the British point man in India during independence , has claimed in her book that Jawaharlal Nehru and her mother were in love. She has made clear though that the love was not physical but more " platonic" in nature.
What is more interesting is , Pamela claims her father knew of this relationship between his wife and Nehru and sometimes even used this closeness between them as a tool to unlock complex political negotiations that seemed to be going nowhere. Quite revealing.

Nehru was the meanest man who unfortunately became the first prime minister of independent India and damaged the country so much with his stupidity and lack of foresight that it is impossible to set the clock back and undo the cost paid and still being paid by the country. The Kashmir, the war with the China in 1962, the communal riots and mayhem in 1947 all are the consequences of this traitor. We have already fought 5 wars with Pakistan and may be will have to fight another 500 hundred wars but we can't rectify the fruits of his foolhardiness.
